Frequently Asked Questions

We have questions that are asked to us all the time. When we get questions asked often, the answers will be here.  If you have a question that can't be answered anywhere on our web site or on this page, please e-mail us at pennacca@pennacca.org and we will get you an answer.

Is PennACCA associated in any way with the state of Pennsylvania or the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association?

No, PennACCA is NOT associated with the PIAA or the state of Pennsylvania.  PennACCA is for all cheerleading coaches and advisors in the state of Pennsylvania.  This includes Recreational Teams, Youth League Teams, All-Star Teams, Pop-Warner Teams, Scholastic Teams and College Teams.

Will PennACCA seek a relationship with the PIAA now or in the future?

PennACCA is striving to be the one place where coaches from any level can go for information on cheerleading in Pennsylvania.  Since the PIAA only serves athletes of recognized scholastic sports, PennACCA is not seeking a relationship with the PIAA at this time.  PennACCA may choose to seek a relationship with the PIAA in the future at a time when both sides could sit down and talk.

Is PennACCA a non-profit or for profit organization?

Currently, PennACCA is running as a non-profit organization.  As with any startup organization, a business plan needs developed and set forth.  This does require time and money.  The board of directors is focused on running a great conference and making a business plan that will be accepted by the IRS and the state of Pennsylvania.  By-laws have been passed and are available on our web site.

Why become a member of PennACCA?

Besides the benefits of membership listed on the application, there are many other things PennACCA needs members for.  The truth is to run any organization, it requires money.  The membership fees help pay for the PO Box, paper supplies, mailings, this web site and incidental costs like stamps, envelopes and copy fees.  Without members and the membership fees, PennACCA would not exist, there wouldn't be an annual conference and cheerleader and coach of they year recognition programs.  The members help make all of this happen.  A future scholarship program is also a goal that can only be accomplished by having members.
